Welcome to Kisoro Travelers Rest Hotel which is one of the oldest hotels in Uganda. The lodge consists of on an impressive list of guests including Dian Fossey, the lady who featured in the movie “Gorillas in the Mist” who even called this hotel her second home!

The hotel is situated outside Kisoro and provides a quiet setting with an amazing view on the Virunga volcanoes. In the evening, the lodge’s lounge with its big fireplace is the perfect spot to wind down from a day filled with experiences.

Room

Travelers Rest has 11 en suite rooms, tastefully decorated with a unique selection of Congo art. The spacious rooms overlook a well groomed courtyard and have the magical Virunga volcanoes as a backdrop.

The hotel comprises of 11 rooms of which each room has a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The rooms surround a pleasant courtyard and all have a sitting area outside the room.
